Here’s a quick image set of us getting through dozens of frames that we had to refinish. The original frame finish was an unattractive crackled silver and gold. Unusable for the museums current character. I’ll go into the testing we went through o get to our final finish in another post, but here is the finale and the tools we used to get it done. Of course one of the paramount considerations was making each D ring exactly as all the others, no matter if it is a vertical or horizontal. This sets us up, and anyone we loan to, for the life of the frames, so it’s worth the extra time. MORE…
